Paul joined Oasis Capital Bank in August 2008 as Head of Property & Infrastructure Investment. Paul has over 30 years experience in the global real estate sector, with an international career spanning 4 continents and more than 15 countries. He began his career as a chartered engineer with a 1st class honours degree in Real Estate & Construction. This developed from construction contractor, through project management and development management as a industry specialist consultant, to heading regional offices of major property companies such as Gammon Hong Kong, Australia's Lend Lease Corporation and UAE's Majid Al Futtaim. Paul was part of the team which acquired the Bovis Group for Lend Lease in 1998. Prior to joining Oasis Capital Bank, Paul headed global real estate investments at Bahrain's Al Salam Bank.
Rupert Copeman-HillHead of Legal & |
Rupert joined the Bank in February 2009. Immediately prior to this, Rupert was a Partner in UK law firm Trowers & Hamlins' Abu Dhabi office. Rupert has 16 years legal experience, having worked for international law firms in the UK and Australia. Rupert specialises in corporate finance, M&A, private equity and real estate transactions and general commercial legal advisory work. He is a qualified lawyer in the UK and in Australia.

Menir Ahmed joined Oasis Capital Bank in November 2008. Prior to joining OCB he was a Principal in the Risk Management department of Investcorp Bank in Bahrain since July 2006. Before this, Menir spent over 15 years working in various institutions in London, including Shell as head of Treasury Risk, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust as Director of Risk and ABN Amro. Menir is also a member of the Banks Investment Committee and the Asset Liability Committee. Menir is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales having qualified with Ernst & Young in 1992. Menir is also an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK. Menir holds a BSc. (Hons) in Physics and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester, U.K.
Niels Carl A. LorijnHead of Private Equity Investment |
Niels joined OCB in August 2009, and brings over 19 years of private equity and investment banking experience in a variety of sectors and geographies. Prior to OCB, he helped establish and co-managed the European operations of CapitalSource Inc., a NYSE-listed finance and investment company, focusing primarily on mezzanine capital investments in private equity transactions across the EU. From 2002 to 2005, Niels was one of the founding Principals of Langholm Capital, a mid-market private equity firm based in London. Prior to Langholm, he spent 11 years in investment banking in Europe, the US and Latin America, most recently as Director of Investment Banking with Merrill Lynch & Co and, before that, with Baring Brothers & Co (later ING Barings). During that time, he worked on mergers & acquisitions mandates, privatisations, equity and debt offerings and structured financings totaling over US$12 billion. Niels graduated in Applied Economic Sciences from the University of Louvain (Belgium).

Mohammed is a founding member of OCB. He was appointed as Head of Treasury to establish the Treasury function and manage the liquidity of the Bank. On April 2010 he was assigned the role of Head of Relationship Management and he established a team of Relationship Managers to cover GCC countries providing unmatched professional services to OCB’s HNI and institutional investors. He has over 10 years of extensive experience in Treasury, Investment and Marketing from working with several leading financial institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in the State of Kuwait. Prior to joining OCB, Mr. Moamen was Head of Corporate Treasury and Treasury Sales at BNP Paribas Kuwait, responsible for the Assets & Liabilities Management and Sales of Treasury products within corporate and institutional clients in the state of Kuwait. Previously, he worked in the Treasury and Investment departments at The Arab Investment Company (TAIC) OBU, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait and TAIB bank. Mr Moamen holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain.
Stephen CraycraftHead of Operations and IT |
Before joining OCB in April of 2009, Stephen spent three years as the Group Head of Information Technology with responsibility for AUB’s IT functions in Bahrain and six international locations. He has held a variety of senior operations and IT management positions with the Chase Manhattan and has over 30 years of international and North American experience in the financial services sector. With assignments is Kuwait, Italy, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Panama, US Virgin Islands and New York City including management consulting engagements with a large Asian bank and mortgage institution, Stephen brings very rich and diverse experiences to OCB.
